La Cucina del Sole
Eleonora is an excellent cook, a perfect hostess and a great friend. After leading several cuisine TV programs for more than 15 years and some excellent and refined cooking books, Eleonora decided to start the adventure of cooking classes to please her enthusiasm in cooking and a huge and unexpected demand from friends, acquaintances and simple tv-viewers. She was a special guest at La Cucina Italiana magazine in New York City. Her books are now pubblished in Japan, too. She is an honorary member of the Italian Cooking Academy.
Eleonora is pleased to introduce Sicilian cuisine and the still-alive value of a culinary tradition to any beginner or accomplished cook. According to the Sicilian tradition tradition of bounty and simplicity, cooking and meals are occasions to live joyfully and share important moments with relatives and friends. Classes are held in her typical Sicilian house in Viagrande, one of the most characteristic villages on the slopes of Mt. Etna and based on the most famous Sicilian recipes, paying particular attention to pasta, fish and vegetable dishes. Eleonora uses only local ingredients.
Each lesson may include a complete menu and you may choose to actively participate to knead pasta, use ingredients, control sauce consistency and so on. Each lesson lasts about 3 hours during which Eleonora makes suggestions, tells historical references and anecdotes.
You can choose to have class morning time (10:00 – 13:00) or evening time (17:00-20:00) with final lunch or dinner and beverages inclusive (Etna d.o.c. white or red wine and water).

General info: La Cucina del Sole is an individual trip. It starts and ends in Viagrande (Eastern Sicily, the nearest airport is Catania). It is designed to create a good comfort and let participants enjoy a special cooking experience. The food is always typical Sicilian.
Flights: we generally recommend that our travellers to arrive one day before the trip starts in order to get their bearings and ease in to the new surroundings.
Travel Services: we would be happy to assist travellers in case of any further services: from airport transfers to pre-post nights in Sicily.
Reservation & Payment: a deposit of 20% per person is required at the time of reservation and to hold your reservation. Final payment of the tour is due 60 days prior to departure.
