Sicily boutique hotels
Just a few metres from the Mediterranean sea, opposite the Egadi archipelago, the Antiche Saline area evokes ancient and bold times. It is a small boutique hotel, once an ancient baglio, a countryside building typical of western Sicily, just a 10 minute drive from the towns of Trapani and Marsala. The estate once belonged to the Platamone Marquis and was accurately restored in 2005 into a cosy and refined Relais.
A stay at Donna Carmela is a purely contemporary experience. Located at the foothill of Mt Etna, the biggest active volcano in Europe, in the heart of a ten thousand square metre nursery garden specialising in Mediterranean and subtropical plants, this 19th century Sicilian manor house has been fully restored to its original state and turned into an elegantly refined refuge.
Torre Dantona is strategically located in proximity to the stunning Baroque centres of Modica, Ragusa, Scicli and Noto. Here you’ll find this masseria standing proudly white. Dating back to 1882, this former lookout tower (hence the name Torre, meaning tower) is now a recently renovated country hotel.
